1977 Triumph Spitfire 1500 Rolling Restoration

I bought this 1977 Spitfire 1500 to keep me in the classic car world while I restored my 1979 Spitfire 1500. You can find that ‘Fast Road’ restoration project here: Fast Road Triumph Spitfire Restoration. However this £800 bargain needed rather a lot more work than anticipated and it too was off the road for a couple of years. Since then though I’ve been making subtle and regular improvements to keep it running and looking as good as possible. Click the image to find out what’s been going on.

1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500 ‘Fast Road’ Restoration

This is a car I’ve owned since 1994. I used to drive it all over the place but for a very long time it has sat in bits in my garage. Progress was made with the chassis blasted and painted and new, upgraded brakes and suspension fitted but the project stalled as my business became busy and customer cars got priority. However I’m determined to get the project going again! The body tub actually isn’t that far away from paint and so I’ve included it here in our paint projects. The car has it’s own dedicated page which explains the whole story. Click the image below to find out how it all started…..

1982 Land Rover Series 3 ‘Bob’ Rolling Restoration

Bob is our trusty Series 3 Landy and he’s now part of the family. It’s taken quite a bit of work to get him safe and reliable but I now rely on him everyday. His paint is terrible, I think his previous owner had thrown the paint on from the tin! Not the greatest advert for my business! However as I use him everyday I’m going to paint him one panel at a time. Click the pic to see how I get on.
